📄 Waiver and Release of Liability
By signing this form, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child listed below and that I voluntarily consent to their participation in any present and future cooking classes or camps provided by Little Spoons, operated by Nour Elmoustaqim.
I understand that while every precaution is taken to ensure a safe and supportive environment, cooking activities may involve the use of sharp tools, hot surfaces, and kitchen equipment that carry a small risk of injury (e.g., cuts, burns, slips).
By signing this waiver, I release and hold harmless Little Spoons, Nour Elmoustaqim, and any assistants, team members, or volunteers from all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, property damage, or other loss that may occur as a result of my child’s participation in the program.
I acknowledge that I have provided accurate and up-to-date information regarding my child’s allergies and health conditions, as well as emergency contacts in the registration form.
In the event of an emergency, I authorize the program staff to take appropriate action, including contacting emergency medical services and my designated emergency contacts.
🍓 Allergy & Food Safety Policy
Little Spoons is not an allergen-free facility. While strict precautions are taken, cross-contamination is very unlikely but may occur. Parents/guardians are responsible for disclosing all allergies, sensitivities, dietary restrictions, and medical conditions during registration. Staff rely entirely on the information provided. Little Spoons is not liable for reactions resulting from undisclosed or incomplete information.
🧠 Medical & Special Needs Disclosure
To ensure a safe and positive environment: • Parents must disclose any medical, behavioural, developmental, or learning conditions, including autism spectrum conditions or special needs • This includes any condition requiring additional supervision or support. Failure to disclose important information may result in removal from the program without refund if safety or participation is impacted.
👩🍳 Staff Authority & Safety Enforcement
All Little Spoons staff are trained and authorized to lead classes.
• Staff instructions must be followed at all times
• Staff decisions regarding safety and participation are final during class.
For safety reasons, staff may:
• Remove tools (e.g., knives or hot equipment)
• Modify or limit participation
• Separate or remove a child from activities if necessary
🚫 Parent Policy
To provide a focused, calm, and enjoyable experience for all children, parents or guardians are not permitted to stay in the cooking room during class. Parental presence may cause distraction or unnecessary stress for children, and we want every child to feel safe and independent in the kitchen.
🚨 Incident Policy
In the event of an incident:
• Staff are trained to manage minor situations appropriately
• Parents will be informed after class unless immediate contact is required.
In emergencies, staff are authorized to:
• Contact emergency medical services
• Contact the designated emergency contact
🚪 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy
• Responsibility for the child begins once the parent/guardian has left the premises and the child has been handed over to Little Spoons staff
• Parents/guardians must ensure their child is safely brought into the space before leaving
• Children must not be left unattended before staff are present
• Children will only be released to authorized individuals provided during registration
🔄 Program Changes
Little Spoons reserves the right to:
• Modify recipes, menus, or activities
• Substitute instructors if necessary
• Adjust schedules when required.
All changes are made to maintain quality and safety.
💸 Refund, Illness & Missed Class Policy
We take great pride in the quality of our classes and always strive for excellence.
However, we understand that our classes may not be a perfect fit for everyone. In such cases, we do not offer refunds.
Single Classes & Cooking School
✅ Refunds
• Full refunds are provided if cancellation is made at least 7 days in advance
❌ No Refund Situations
• Cancellations within 7 days
• Missed classes (no-show)
• Change of plans or personal preference
🔁 Transfers
• Spots may be transferred to another child within the appropriate age group
❗ If Little Spoons Cancels (Single Classes Only)
• A full credit for the class will be issued
• PLUS an additional 30% bonus credit toward a future class.
Credits are valid for future bookings.
When using a gift certificate, the same cancellation and attendance policies apply.

💸 Refunds
• Full refunds are provided if cancellation is made at least 30 days in advance
❌ No Refund / No Credit
• No refunds or credits for missed camp days or last-minute cancellations
❗ If Little Spoons Cancels Camp
• A credit for the affected portion of the camp will be issued (No bonus credit applies to camps)
When using a gift certificate, the same cancellation and attendance policies apply.
💳 Credits (General Policy)
Credits may be issued at the discretion of Little Spoons in cases such as:
• Severe weather is preventing safe travel
• Verified illness with notice before class
• Emergencies
Credits are not guaranteed and are evaluated case-by-case.
🌧️ Weather Policy
• Classes and camps run as scheduled in most weather conditions
• In rare cases of severe conditions (e.g., road closures), credits will be issued
🛡️ Respect & Safe Space Policy
All of our kitchen members, children, and staff have the right to feel safe, welcome, and respected. Any form of aggressive behaviour, bullying, verbal or physical harassment will not be tolerated. If such behaviour occurs, the individual responsible will be immediately removed from the program without refund.
